Holidays, all da days…

Like “Black Friday” “Christmas” now seems to run from Halloween to…TBD? But the Season

seems to begin here when poignant decorations appear on the memorial bench commemorating the passing of Damani Elijah Chadly at the end of West E,a 17 year old musician killed*

in Fremont in December 2018…and I just keep ridin’ around what once was America as it’s  Systematically Dismantled in every imaginable and unimaginable way…National Security Strategy?

Well, Putin loves it…getting his money’s worth and then some. Nonetheless it was back to the

interior to finally finish the re-shelving – this time encompassing an actual scrapyard –

as “Sandy’s Weather**” persisted persistently all the way through a First Friday where our

neighbors outdid themselves with this year’s windows just in time for the annual Christmas Tree

Lighting which happily coincided with a semi-annual visit from dear friends Mary and Judy and a walk down First to see said tree light up after which which I overindulged as usual though

survived to awake to another one of “those days”, a day sufficiently occluded that, combined

with sleeping in, convinced a person to shelter in place after the requisite dogwalkings

until Sunday’s at which point the ritual Christmastime Distribution of Tiny Vehicles began.

Then came a Monday with more of the same, moody and low though

I did finally make it out of the house that afternoon

in time for a glimpse of our Rare Sun;

chilly, bright…and brief.

*A really stupid dope deal in Fremont gone Wrong.

So far…no luck! When we went to Vallejo this morning it was 46 and damp, almost sunny over there but returning to Benicia, uh-oh, dark, damp and 45 degrees!

    1. Geese flying over wetlands, Sierra Club or National Geographic worthy.
    2. Love all the verticals and seemingly verticals in the photo below moody comments.
    3. Hey those Benicia windows are pretty classy!
    4. Car shelving indeed stupendous, but really loved the ‘scrapyard’…and of course the distribution.
