…and back over the hill

Not in any particular rush to go on a chill but sunny Tuesday morning [and Lefty, staring out at the playa, not in any rush at all] I went looking for cat tracks before finally pulling out a bit after nine;

Down the desert to first intersect a considerable herd of burros, then at Smoke Creek Bridge some Espil cattle and so into the mists of California, none of which lasted very long; an easy trip, over and down to the green.

Road pics; CR 33 [aka Sand Pass Road, Smoke Creek Road, etc.]; representatives from the feral organic free-range burro herd, Espil’s cattle…the road mostly south;

The multistory V-ad V put up sans permit and some spoilsport insisted they remove…or pretend to remove. But you can always download the app, forever…

Thanks entirely to the aforesaid and their myriad minions extrication from downtown by bus [or anything else] took considerably longer, and will for the next three weeks, but once across the bridge things moved along, more or less, though one couldn’t help but contemplate, looking back across the mudflats, whether America, land of Moronic Mormon “Constitutionalists”, militias and More [!], is really truly Too Big to Fail…or fall.  Or already, as the wasteful traffic flowed back and forth under skies of brown, already fallen, and just big.

Ah, Civilizations…they do come and go, do they not?

Meanwhile we’ll all have Stupor Bowl Sunday to sustain us, and millions of dollars of polyester crapola to console us…

Yahoo!  [oh wait, that’s trademarked, too…is “yippee” still ok?]

Yowza.
