turns out to be really a lot of people…do they, whoever they are, REALLY approve of what those nincompoops at Mar a Lago are doing to our country? Do they understand it? Well,
who knows…not me as first thing Monday after the usual trips around the block and breakfasts
we dropped the Taco in American Canyon, were home with time to continue editing all
those Sunday car show pics and even got in a ride to survey the [lack of] damage to the
Green…another day was similarly blessed with enough time for that plus it turned out
Dave turned up another trove of Norton Allen maps from the fifties,
some of which were even illustrative of Our Area [80 years on there are still no supplies in Vya].
The Sally Rose, a gift from a now as well departed cousin in memory of my mother, began to manifest itself as the weather warmed, a warming we took advantage of with another of
those Lucca breakfast meetings before David Dodd, Benicia’s former Head Librarian,
came for lunch to consult about the daunting idea of archiving an inventory of our artworks, a consultation Linda unfortunately missed due to the discovery of an Allergy to Eggs,
the very thing she’d enjoyed for breakfast that morning [and also in Denver to similar effect].
Thursday she was fine, the winds came up, the bumper stickers* arrived and after running up
to American Canyon to collect the restored Taco I made it to Vallejo for an overdue washing
of the Other Truck…Sallyrose in the yard,
Friday
a last California haircut and reading the estimable and fascinating Roots of Rhythm until,
locating boxes [and boxes] of forgotten slides, I began the first scans of what will probably
be many hundreds if this documentation continues…
Whoosh…and who knows?
*Available while supplies last…$2.00 each [includes S&H].
