…like the cartoon on Dave’s refrigerator back in the eighties of the suited-up guy -“What was it? Damn – I forgot to get a job!”- [well, umm, i guess I did forget that, too] we forgot, with all the many distractions, frequent trips to town [even if you don’t count the weekly visits to Gardner for Farmer’s Market and mail it’s some town or other every six or four days, unlike on the desert which is more on the order of seven to ten]; like this, sighted in La Veta one fine morning…
…walks up the creek, creakily inaugurating stuff in the studio, dinners and sunsets , laundry and dogs…
Not to mention giant mudslides across the valley, while we get mere rainbows…and more walks up the creek. Scenes around the meadow [our homegrown architecture];
…in and out of Walsenburg and Gardner;
…oh I should STOP with the dogs but they DO seem to have their online admirers…
Anyway, what did we forget; we forgot to go to Hippy Days last weekend in Gardner, but, tempting as it looked that dippy haze was not for us…
We stayed home for an enjoyable evening of friends and food and talked of many things; art and artists, NYC, CNC routing, 3D printing, Marfa and maps, the nefarious machinations of venal local humans [not shown]…
And what does it matter, here in the light;
it’s life and life only…
