Benicia, cntd.

Still so strange to arrive back

and have it already be

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving being time for the annual dredging of the Benicia Channel

and early winter light, fire season a distant memory.

The Day itself had to be about the most perfect weather ever but

…whatever; duck and after all that

[not shown] porto in the library.  Not a storm, just port.   The next day Bryan came down

from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, via the Inner Sunset where he and his mom had taken out turkey from Zazie for TG dinner, for duck sandwiches in the yard and a walk

all around downtown Benicia

in brilliant autumnal/whatever light

and then, awhile at least, the library

before he returned north to his work while we remained here for ours.

Thankful for all that, in a weird and troubling year.
