and open, on East 7th, just a little east of where Google thinks it is. Not only open but Joan was there and most happy to visit with an old friend from the old times, as was Linda…

a most luminous reunion which also resulted in two beautifully delicate beaded necklaces

in anticipation of a Certain Birthday. Afterwards we staggered through Safeway, inspected the Habib’s newly trimmed yard, and went home with the mail to find two completely

unexpected pairs of handknit socks from Janet just about when she was arriving in Scotland

for a family reunion. The rest of the week was made up of days uninterrupted, autumnal sun,

small rains, a moody wet morning…
