Maggots so damn obedient? Simply put Putin’s Bitch has promised them the carcass of the [formerly] United States to infest and feed upon. Simple as that…rampant shortsighted self-interest [the long game belongs to Vlad] as well as being shit-scared of losing his “love” and ending up on the Wrong End of The Retribution. All in all not the least bit interesting, really, but really distressing given that millions of Maggots [seven in ten of the Mostly Maggoty Repuppetlicans!] still believe the twisted piece of shit won the last election…and are counting on empowering him to wreak even more havoc than he’s created already while here
on the home front we watched winter grow miniature gardens as the Riverine Atmospheres
washed up and down the Straits…
Meanwhile things on the hill looked, if not quite as “interesting” as last year, still rather dire. It
seemed sufficiently messed up enough to postpone, despite indulging in our by now
traditional night-before-leaving-curry, our departure, and just as well.
Though well packed and ready for Wednesday we waited until
chain controls were lifted first thing Thursday and then, after walking
the dogs and a rather lengthy departure, crossed the soggy valley
to Heather Glen, from whence we went
relatively unimpeded
to just before Boreal where suddenly everything inexplicably stopped.
Forty five minutes later on the downhill side it was revealed that a recently jacknifed semi*
had closed both lanes…fortunately with everyone subsequently rushing down to Truckee to stand in lines for restrooms at the C-Stores the Vista Point immediately beyond The Problem
was utterly deserted, allowing two desperate old people to pee unperturbed al fresco before
pressing on past the C-stores to Prosser Village Road where dogs frolicked in snow
[not shown] while we partook of Tuesday night’s excellent if cold ChueeChee salmon.
An hour later East of Reno it was, as ever, another world
entirely.
*Not that recently; Lee saw this on his way over the hill on Wednesday;
Which also explains the lane closure all the way back up to Boreal – they were going to need that to tow it out.
Quite the road adventure. Glad the old people made it safely, with bladders much relieved to your destination.
Not as adventurous as yours among the trees of Red Mountain!
Yikes! Thanks for the warnings.. we head up I-80 tomorrow!
Enjoy your time at Wall!
