Metal Bumping 101…and then some;
Primaries;
…and another green Ford.
[project “H’, an actual Hudson]
Nice original ’54 Wagon, oh yeah! And not such a bad ’37 Chev, either…
The ’59 is the same my parents had when I graduated high school [different rims, though]. As for the panel truck, one of various approaches to Finish, all fetish, all the time;
…and out, footsore in the heat, though it wasn’t over yet;
Martinez Bridge…

They are mad for lav there in NoCal. Kind of a dull hue though, I wish it were more vibrant with some sparkles in the finish coat. The yellow is perfect. Wakes you up. Traffic safety.

When these bodies are lowered all the way to the ground, they remind me of obedient dogs: “Lie Down… Stay!” I suppose you have to give ’em a treat to get them to keep doing that!
Actually they need a treat [air from their compressors] to get them to stand up, but then they’ll do all sorts of tricks…
Back when cars were cars! Perhaps you had to be in high school at the right time to fully “get it”. I recall the car dealers’ windows being completely papered over for a week before the unveiling of the new models, and the town-wide interest (admittedly there wasn’t a whole lot else going on.) People flocked to the showrooms on opening day. Now they all look the same (I know it’s a cliché but sometimes clichés are true) and that huge wonderful range of colors has been reduced to white, grey, silver and black. Okay red shows up occasionally and dark blue. Big deal!
How low can you go? Your knees must hurt as much as your feet, getting down and up shooting those low-riders. Some pretty remarkable rides, for sure.
Nothing as grand as my mother’s ‘low-rider’……..a Citroen!! She used to get big thumbs up from the cholos!
I remember that one; revolutionary!
