…tramples on, eliminating, like the autistically programmed AI it is, everything in its path with no regard for nuance or consequence….If I wanted to be more alarmed I could go back to following All Things Repeated on National Propaganda Radio or, conversely, be ecstatically reassured
that everything’s all right [until noticing that all that red state funding from blue states’ taxes has been rerouted to Kleptocracy Direct] by hanging on every ‘fairly balanced’ word from Fuckeds News…but, naah…I’ll just continue with whatever disasters seep in over the over the transom
and, now that the tiny car distributions have finally played out, continue with
the usual rounds,
rain
or shine…The weekend
brought a flurry of Social Events; first Mary and Judy Friday night with first hand news
from the front lines of their respective fields [the contraction of higher pubic education; drastic reduction of women’s reproductive care…all as seen on the news but close to them personally]
and wine, a now-rare indulgence for me though the Very Next Day it was bubbles
[not shown] for lunch with Patsy and Jon and John and Eva…a good long afternoon with the California/Colorado crew catching up on art and ailments and all the rest…very fine.
Sunday was another bright blue one which, being StuporBowl, was blissfully calm
and quiet down along the waterfront.
All the while spring was presaging mightily
as we began another week with a morning visit from Bryan who stopped off on his way back
from Dental at Travis with tales of other times…and ambitious future travel plans [Puglia, Bastogne, Kilimanjaro]. After that it was time to take down “Bent at Three Forks” and wrap it up for sending home to Woodside…
Bye de bye…
Great pic of Linda and perros on the settee!
Always fabulous pix, Mikey.
I too loved the image of Linda with the beautiful dogs. As ever enjoyed the urban-Beni- grit Bent at Three Forks looks beautiful. Our local newspaper, The Monterey Herald prints a lot of news analysis from the Associated Press which reads as old news used to. It is clear, relatively unbiased and more in-depth than your average NYT article.
You’re lucky to have the Herald!
Nice shots, they make me wish I had gone outside rather than watched the stupid game. Also, you might try AP – https://apnews.com – for news.
Chaos!…but a good source of raw information despite the chaotic layout.
“Kleptocracy” is precisely correct.
I’m so blessedly behind that I don’t really know what AI is. Animal, Mineral, or Vegetable?
Whatever it is it’s poised to wipe all the animals, minerals and vegetables right off the table. Soonly…
