A bit after the afterbirthday[s]

WK’s revelatory slideshow, sourced pretty much exclusively from family albums and such, none-

theless missed some significant parts of my history [many of which were best left undisturbed]

and not only the parts occurring along the northern Nevada-Oregon/Idaho line

etc…

BUT, into the present recent windy days,

all bright except, strangely for April, intermittently rainy, life continued.

I was even able, first time since November, to steal a couple of days’ focus in the studio…

[discreetly not shown]. Happily Easter Sunday was not so wet

as to

discourage the cars but alas

no sign was seen of either Easter Snake nor Western Bunny.  We are surely thankful to have been here rather than a lot of places we hear about these days for whatever the rare coincidence of the Big Three of western holidays brought…glad not to be subjected to the depredations of Settlers celebrating their version of Passover under a nearly full moon.  But then that’s why they schedule a Day of Atonement later on I guess…groovy system while on another front Putin’s Christian Soldiers marched onward against Ukraine’s…and Benician life remained benign.

Predator [also a popular type of Ford $25K+ crate motor here in the U.S.] Drones…no war crimes though.  War Crimes, as any Condoleezza Rice will assure you, are always committed by the Other.  She plays piano way better than I do, too.

So they say.

Enjoyed the very brief trip down memory lane. Wind is prevalent i. Monterey as well – speaking of memory, don’t you remember the great frustration during spring quarter 1962 when by the time we arrived in Cruz the surf would be blown out?! An Ezra Kline interview with a Bulgarian writer contains the comments by both of them Re the utter hypocrisy of much of our criticisms regarding what is happening in the latest conflict to saturate our news. It is a great interview and the guy’s name is Ivan K. See if you can find it. I feel Benicia may be benign, but Monterey is mundane.

Will try to find that article…in my spare time if any shows up, and yes, I do recall blown out at Santa Cruz; no surf reports back then…just get in the car and go…remember when the CHP pulled us over on 17, after observing many such trips, as truancy suspects? Ah, youth…
