The green world without rain persists, albeit colorfully; end of February initially too cold for dinners [or even some breakfasts] out, but mildly warm into afternoons. The threat of Dry in abeyance, forgotten, despite record drought and no rain in sight…
Life in the studio[s] proceeds as always, although soon after Nevada a day with Shawn is dedicated to fitting most of the wood of the bed into the ’45 and belatedly installing the original horns to make if not exactly joyful at least indisputably obnoxious noises…
…daily walks, often past the residence of the Fabulous E Street Dog, were ever varied….
In the east it’s all another matter, ice ‘n’ snow, but here we are, all “buttercups!” – t-shirt weather, afternoon cycling to the jetty and, once daylight savings are forced upon us, warm enough for outdoor dining [not shown];
I finish a book and another continues; we contemplate deaccessioning glassware and other items, venture to Berkeley for wine and screendoors [neither shown], bringing the latter home for final Nevada fittings…
One of those mornings, early rising and Lefty’s visit to Dr. Lorrie, leaving the back of his neck Frankensteinian with staples but minus the cyst that had supplied the lump atop his neck with fluid these several years…
Such is Cali, where dogs can get bulbous growths removed in the morning and still enjoy hanging out the window of a ’45 Chevy going home…
Another foggy foggy morn off to American Canyon for tire rotation and junkyard investigations, returning empty-handed [save for more of that Walmart paint for Wall Spring] to weird dayglo highlights down along the jetty;
Come the second week Shawn comes out again to make benches for Storm Queen from leftover sculpture parts, bringing the last remaining puzzle-piece for the bed; in rust we trust as ever we must…
With the old wheels and hubs rotated and de-rusted, anybody need a nice set of custom steel rims from Stockton Wheel for their six-lug pickup?

I save every single one of these. Reminds me how great a thing it is to put feelings into words, because of the way you put them into pictures.
I’m flattered for sure, and appreciate your appreciation…will try to rise to the [continuing] occasions…

I totally agree with Victoria. Your picture stories are terrific. Thanks for sharing your gift of “seeing” these engaging, whimsical, mysterious compositions that are right in front of us, but so often not seen.
I’m with Victoria and Kirk, more, more, moore.
