American Kennel Club creates disturbance in the Cosmos.

After Thanksgiving’s indulgences I went to Oakland, making a quite efficient if undocumented

detour into Rockridge for wine on the way, to spend an hour installing some hitherto

unseen [see below] Art at the Rollup Project and home before one

for avocado toast in the Industrial Luncheonette.

We had a visit from Bryan, dinner at Bella Siena and after he left fell into some utterly worthless TV culminating in the kennel club finals.  All those grotesque dogs doing unnatural acts rendered Cosmos worried and depressed; I wish I knew what he was thinking, but whatever it was was obviously seriously disturbing though by morning he and his sister recovered with uncommon exuberance; yelling, tearing around and crashing into walls, all in celebration

of the Assassination of the Squirrel who’d been unmercifully mocking them ever since our return from the country four weeks ago. That was Sunday morning,

then it was Sunday afternoon…

and then it was Monday with the re-installation of the all-too-temporary crown for the third time and a mad morning out in the ’45 gathering foods and other stuffs…sort of sorting, sort of loading and finally an afternoon ride down to the shore and back.

Been here just four and a half weeks, still haven’t picked up a paintbrush except to touch up the patched ceilings and now…

And the judges were freakier still! It really did create a profound disturbance in [the] Cosmos, a dog who curiously enough does relate to dog things on TV.

I applaud your ability to continually find curious and appealing images in Benicia. AKC Dog Show sounds every bit as hideous as I would have thought, but I am interested in the fact that your pair of beauties actually responded to what I feel is dog torture…and perhaps is.
