in other words, another week [or so] wherein
after having [somewhat] given thanks there remained a few forays down by the water and
although about the only real accomplishment in these three weeks in Cali was the signage for Parker Ranch’s south gate we were happy to discover the resurrected Aroma
to be much improved over its previous iteration…this was then followed
by fluoridic dentistry, the pleasures of the harbour
and come Friday hey Benicia’s annual Tree Lighting accompanied by drones
on phones* witnessing what some of us felt to be a fairly underwhelming “drone show”
[but whadda we know?].
With all that out of the way we made ours westward into Marin
for Scott and Sarah’s Holiday Party…an actual holiday party in deepest Mill Valley
which preceded an intense day of foraging for the next week’s food
and packing up the Tundra in unseasonably warm December weather…
*many thanks to Oliver Sudden for that all-too-apt characterization.
I’m wondering if the ease of attracting large groups for events which are hardly of genuine interest in themselves has to do with the result of genuine lack of real community within our entire country at this point?

Liked the view of Benician Christmas light from inside your home preferable to the outside version.
