Over the Hill as [somewhat] expected…

This…

went to this;

more or less overnight.  And that was that; the pain remained the same…insane.

Same same, except Tuesday there was sun again so I

walked about as far as the Repo

to lock up and

tentatively down the south ditch,

then eased in and out of chairs to finish up the year’s 66th watercolors

and got the truck in place to slowly load.

Early start Wednesday, twenty degrees [maybe less],

warming by Gerlach

and down Four Four Seven

to P. Lake to pee,

then on in to Reno to see the install of Visions from Smoke Creek” begun.

Standing and talking about the work was wearing, but necessary, though by the time I ran

into Jack Bacon [met previously at the Planet X Memorial Day Sale] and began to tour his Latimer School show it was time to sit down.  By then, 11:30, Linda and Scott were in the lobby;

Jack and I made our way down, Scott turned around for Benicia and soon L. was driving us

over the hill, something I would have found difficult.

Over the hill and down, damp, while “Mining”,

as they say, “Works for Nevada”; mining water

to grow hay for California’s suburban horses, burning petroleum to truck it over

to the valley and safely, sorely home, we.

    …. And it is great news that the show is up, per museum, ‘till July… might get to see it without too many hoops (speriamo bene).

    Congrats!

    Bummer about the pain…

    Re-cover as best you can.

    Love, E n’ I
