Wherein as skies somewhat clear around Benicia we have a majorly fun dinner Friday, pack and load Saturday and escape the Bay Area Sunday just ahead of more rain ‘n’ snow…
Over the hill and up the Smoke Creek to Wall Spring;
Our building project’s progress – the shed in the viewshed will obviously have to move;
Lefty, more than a little surprised by snow Monday…
By midday things brightened considerably, at least enough to return it all to mud.
Come three the clouds were back, and by seven the solar had crashed, necessitating a candlelit dinner followed by early bed…
Tuesday morning after slogging over to reset the inverter we left, things looking unpromising for travel at the gate…
…but despite the weather by the time we got to Colorado progress had been made;
[thanks to Twisto for the photo]
…and we did make it to Colorado…

The Bay Area didn’t stay clear for long as we’ve been getting lots of rain since your departure. Nice shots of Benicia as you left; sorry to hear about solar crashing at Wall, but L’s sculptures look really cool with snow!
Photographs of the tree and Linda’s sculpture were really lovely!
Since i do not have to put up with snow on a regular basis, I have the luxury of seeing it ‘afresh’ in all its magical beauty. Mostly I love what it does to the light.
The shots of Linda’s sculpture really highlight the patterns. They are great!
