All around the things…

The ponds, anyway.  Which became vaguely possible once we stopped getting soaked which by the weekend we fairly well weren’t, though circumnavigating was by then more than a little

obstructed by insanely exuberant grasses and explosions of Life both

reptilian

and ‘phibian.

Grasses, exuberating;

glories, reversing;

days brilliant throughout

and winds, blowing

covers off sculptures, made it all painfully clear

until temperatures dropped twenty degrees

from one day to the next, oh well.  It stayed clear, though.

Other things happened, of course, like Our Great Leader taking a taxpayer-funded family golfing vacation at his very own Irish Golf Course, then calling off the latest in an ongoing series of trade wars, the one with Mexico, as only He, who initiates them, can, to the amusement of …some.

Also…oh, well.

    May I steal your coined word, as my whole garden has been exuberating this year. Our warm Winter and cool web Spring have moved us to a very different climactic zone. Quietly under unfrozen ground it seems everything spent the winter getting bigger. This is only the second year (and I’ve been here 30 of those) in which the ground never froze solid, the other being last year. Then when it warmed up somewhat everything just exploded from the ground within about a week. I have neither toads nor lizards but birds galore, some never seen before (the redpolls and the orchard oriole.)
    Particularly enjoyed here your continued celebrations of the horizontal.

    Yes….exploding life (a last gasp?) here on the coast will necessitate lots of pruning to maintain our views.
    Wall spring may soon have all access to the ponds choked off!
    However, already this exuberant life is madly burning in Yolo county with more wildfires, no doubt, to come.

    Meanwhile, nasty, stranger-than-fiction Trump torments continue as his base embraces such Hollywood stunts as normal and perfectly acceptable. When is this horror movie going to end? Nature seems to be gearing up for a few catastrophic final scenes herself! What a wild ride.

    At least your horizontal desert panos remain stunningly beautiful and authentic.

    The view of Trump over here in Scotland is wonderful, because the press do not hold back with the critical remarks!! Pretty green and exuberant here. I will send photos.

      They think there’s something to criticize about Our Great Loser, er, Leader? How very strange…
