A grey and misty Thursday morning at OMCA…
Steve Briscoe of the Museum, master [!!] rigger Estevan and crew chief Brian from Atthowe Fine Arts with another member of the crew;
The footers; the site…
Figuring positioning and rigging;
Outer panels, outer paneling…
Rigging done, but a woman’s work…never;
Well, finally, with a lot of essential help from Museum staff…done!
Linda and Linden [Christina Linden, curator instrumental in acquiring “Glimmer’ for the Museum]. Atthowe and the museum staff were absolutely the best we’ve ever worked with, hands down. A pleasure.
…followed by an hour and a half in traffic in the disconcertingly creaking truck, home to Cava and sushi

Love seeing the behind the scenes of Glimmer install!! What an AMAZING piece! Yay!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
Linda, I would say every superlative in the book should be shouted out for you. Spectacular, beautiful, colorful, inspired, and Major Work. Brava! and a huge honor to be in such a great location. And your photographer did a pretty great job too. Wish we could see it in person and join you for the Cava and sushi.

Wow, beautiful piece and a swell installation. Bravo!
Linda rocks! This is wonderful news… Perfect location for a really beautiful piece.
Major success! Great documentation of a milestone event; beautiful work by Linda and it was nice to hear the Oakland crew did such a primo job! The behind-the-scenes pics show it’s a complicated process (I was worried the 4,000 lb hoist wasn’t tall enough…but no problem!). I love the photos with the maquette (Glimmer’s little offspring); Congratulations to all involved; I hope to get over to Oakland and see it sometime in the near future.
Wonderful photos, especially appreciate the orange t-shirts! The Oakland museum is a favorite and I will be in that area on the 30th and will try and go by! Really looks great!!!
what fun to see it all come together. Glimmer is outstanding . Glad the oak crew was super too.
Congratulations to Linda, what an honor.
