And then not much…

though initially a chill fell upon the Straits

April’s last weekend warmed briefly up, after which

the week quite cooled down [note goslings]

through and including Wednesday’s trip

through all the old nabes to Beulah where the drawings for “Landscapes, Recollected”*

were scanned by D. Rumsey at Cartography Associates’ mission control followed by a modest

lunch, numerous unexpected downpours while navigating those three bridges on the return

and more unpredicted rain through the night. May?  Really?

At any rate I wasn’t taking many pictures as I wandered around – Vallejo, Thursday in the ’45, none for instance – but Friday made it out Green Island Road and though neither the

Afghans at Eco nor Brian’s still remarkable rusting piles next door could provide what I sought

it was a pleasant enough adventure even if by dinner time [not shown] Cinco de Mayo was sinking into rain…really.  Maybe, maybe…for the last time?

Cool and cloudy were the days

wet and murky were the bays

and Sunday we made our last trip to Doctor He, heading into a time of Last Things…

Palms, Sunday;

more Last Things to come, um.
