Sunday morning, November 13…

Bright but cold

during breakfast I watched from the porch as Dave and the Italians headed for pavement

and afternoon, quiet

at the chairs, a site not used in the filming

nor was the repo, though

it seemed Sunday’s sunset was most likely the one they’d been hoping for the day before.

Monday, another day; normale, similar

to Tuesday too, which is to say an hour or so at the computer waiting for the temperature to get above freezing before morning’s walk around the ponds, breakfast on the porch,

Daily Watercolors [hampered, in this case, by the fact that the 22×30″ 300# Arches had run out Monday] then lunch [again on the porch, weather permitting, which weather did],

outdoor tasks, a studio visit and, end of afternoon, the chairs and environs aka

the afternoon walk. Wednesday, al otro lado, was something else entirely;

earlier up, 18 degrees,

and a deer to send us down de zert, goodbye.

Fish Springs Road,

[there were supposed to be a lot of antelope in the pic below, but I sure don’t see ’em]

Doyle and 395 south, 70 to Vinton,

49 around Sierra Valley, 89 to Truckee and 80 west pretty much unimpeded for once into

funny Sunny California and

back to Benicia to try to figure out…what to do.
