Leadershit when we need it least…

Nice weather when we may need it most but

just to start out with some enlightening news from the USA! USA!’s aka Unapologetically Selfish Asshole’s response to a worldwide problem; corner the cure and monetize it!  Of course in his defense [which I will not take] he’s doing the only thing he can think of and I’m sure his many like-minded supporters and enablers enthusiastically agree.  That was, however, old news and, besides, beside the point.  For newer better [in every Sense of Useful] try this, again

courtesy of my ever-vigilant brother-in-law.  Me, I just walk or bike around in weather fair

or February-ish,

which let up long enough to transport work to the Library where all Sunday was spent installing

with Kathryn and Gregg Renfrow and came off, with the exception of a little subtraction and rearrangement of the forty foot wall, pretty much as planned.  As a result we were essentially finished by afternoon’s end save for custodial and curatorial details so parted, agreeing to make the best of the circumstances [reception having already been canceled] by luring writers

[and my brother Kirk for documentation] out to memorialize our efforts.

I went wearily home and sometime later joined up virtually with those people

we’d thought would be coming down to see us this week for a week…but didn’t.  For good

reason, as is increasingly increasingly obvious, necessitating VERY distant social distancing

[I was particularly taken with Izel’s “girls” glyph below…]

indeed…about which people are not exactly sanguine on either side of the border.

But at least we have the internet

…for the moment.

On a brighter note [albeit not for Tufted Apes] clever Mother Nature’s fighting back in the twenty-first century*…or seems to be with a scenario tentatively titled “Will the Virus Save the Planet [in time]?” MN’s chosen a fairly canny way to do it – like the woodrats who’d disable my Plymouth by gnawing through the coil wire so they could nest under the hood undisturbed it seems Nature, rather than coming up with a way to eradicate billions of us, is just wiping out a few millions, effectively stalling the economy that makes our destructive unsustainability possible; will we prove too resilient to allow that to succeed and go on destroying this living world or…learn something?  All the same kids, how’s THAT for Disruption?

*NOT Neil Young, but thanks for the lyric; click the link
