Would there would

be No Kings Ever and too bad none of it will ever affect the monotheistic mayhem* being wrought by Russ Vought, let alone Stephen Miller** [what DOES that psychopath care about?] or our poop-brained POTUS, the latter quite happy to hijack the news cycle away with pathetically puerile scatological videos on “X” and beyond. That Elon’s personal propaganda channel didn’t post anything more meaningful about No Kings Day as well as the way OLD was as usual able to flood the rest of the zone definitely indicates something extremely disturbing about the

American Media. As millions were protesting around the US*** and the Canadians were finding their way back to their dog Chicha I went up the creek, leaving Linda to make herself

available for the FedEx, signature required, Delivery of a maquette I discovered in an estate sale on Ebay on which she subsequently ventured a lowball offer which was – lo and behold! –

accepted, bringing one little sculpture in from the cold as the populace stood up against an unelected shadowy governance which, truth be told, doesn’t give a shit about any of them as for those guys it was never and never will be a popularity contest; wildly unpopular and not caring a whit.

Once THAT weekend was over, I made what was hoped to be a last trip to town for the dump

[oops, closed Monday], a last bit of grocery shopping, a rough inventory at the Habib,

[partial list]

then back by way of the Gardner P.O. to collect a book for L. and home, end of day,

putting groceries away.

Due to Monday’s unexpectedly closed transfer station Tuesday morning was sacrificed to a

propane exchange at Walsenburg’s moribund First [my last, usually] Choice Market,

dropping off the Last Trash of Summer,

returning via the interstate to Red Rock Road,

69 again and, after a detour to avoid the road grader on 620,

home with enough morning left to rest the back.

Wednesday, having tripped over a dog on the Night of the No Moon, the back was no longer

the problem – more like knees and a shoulder – so as a result I missed the morning walk but afternoon brought a small semblance of normalcy…so, as the East Wing Falls, onwards!

*Christian Nationalism seems somewhat oxymoronic as in my view Christianity is supposed to be tolerant and it would seem respecting one’s nation would not involve the deliberate dismantling of its international standing but, whatever, apparently a popular and fervently held belief system among many of my Fellow Americans.

**”[who ] has spent so long rehearsing his villainy that he’s become a caricature of himself…with the emotional range of a granite gargoyle…or so sez Mary Geddry. At any rate unelected and dedicated to destroying whatever humanity might remain in the image of this country, he does seem to be working his magick…and this not entirely unwelcome among, again, many of my Fellow Americans.

***Easily subsumed in the flood of One Abomination After Another..

Somehow this missive ended up in my “Promotions” folder. Go figure.
    It’s lovely, esp. the deer.
And the photo of the Habib.
    Stay upright.

Sorry to leave the seasons of Colorado. Really loved the photos either side of “putting the groceries away. Glad both of you managed to recover from your falls, but cuidado chicos!
