After being “over a hunnerd” every day for over two weeks the heat finally broke the Friday evening Willey showed up with all those entertaining tales of BLM fiascoes at Burning Man, Saturday remaining pleasant in the aftermath…
From Linda’s return that afternoon through Sunday it mercifully never again exceeded the mid-nineties as we shuffled around and loaded, leaving the Tundra mothballed in the repo…
Monday arrived early and bright, allowing one last walk around the vast estate…
…and away late enough to catch the Gerlach Post Office open;

Great shots of the vast estate; so green in your secret slice of paradise! Glad it finally cooled off.
Nice you don’t have to rat-proof the Tundra, leaving it safely in the Repo like a piece of art.
As long as the Repo itself, of course, is impervious to such wildlife (or delinquent Burners).
Looking forward to documentation of the migration east.
LIBRE!!
Your pond is lovely. Waterlilies! Welcome to Huerfano. Looking forward to some socializing.
Ah yes, waterlily bulbs from Home Depot, willow cuttings from the nearest stream, add water and wait twenty years!
Maybe we see you at the farmer’s market tomorrow…
