…and is that a stealth helicopter or some voracious silicon-based lifeform surveilling for information closer in**?  Well whichever it is hopefully our ancient sceptre here will deter it.

The possibility of surveillance failed to distract me, however, from

my [self-]appointed rounds, such as another grocery run over the hills, across Duck Flat

and up through Surprise Valley’s little towns [Eagleville; Cedarville]

to Alturas [paintbrushes, thrift store, groceries]. Not long after noon I was back over

the Warners, duly fueled at Rabbit Traxx and headed south

to Nevada to investigate a promising looking little fenceline road

for the views.

…then down across Duck Flat without a flat

and lunch, such as it was, late at the summit,

home by three to finish the beer started up there where it was ten degrees cooler

and in the warmish evening enjoy fresh oysters from the Holiday

as well as better corn…only for L. to belatedly discover yet another intense aversion – mollusks!

All of which made for a very bad night in advance of June the 8th, a Day of Infamy at home where Our Lying Despot [OLD] unleashed the National Guard on LA while in the Mediterranean The Great Semitic Ally disappeared an entire relief ship headed for Palestine.  Just a normal day in the disintegrating world of [Project] 2025.  As promised; what will 2026 bring [if we even get there]?

*I have a hard time imagining who these people are, but I guess if you’re not payin’ attention…or only paying attention to Faux News, X or “Truth” Social.  Which is to say by far the vast majority of  American ‘consumers’. Once upon a time America had citizens and consumption was a wasting disease…arguably it still is.

**Contemplating the world long ago through the lens of DMT*** it seemed a good case could be made that the insects [of Menlo Park anyway] were all remotely controlled by Japanese transistors but the antics of actual dragonflies appear considerably beyond the capabilities of silicon valley geniuses at present.  Well at least until the Ukranians turn their minds to it, as certainly no de-funded American science lab will be doing much anytime soon.
