Loco color…but then other weather, and under it…

Benicia in the spring, er, February, has a lot more color than those other places I spend time in, so coming down from the desert on the last day of January the greens, the reds, the blues and all the rest seemed pretty shocking.

There were the usual unusual vehicular suspects as well…

…animals, too;

Although the coloration didn’t last, we did manage a bit of digital grandparenting beforeĀ  some sort of persistent ailment laid me down for the rest of a rainy week…

…to be only nominally recovered in time for a weekend of guests, merriment and wild swings of weather…

The wild swings of weather and merriment culminated in Unexpected Damage to a Knee, so most of the second Tuesday was devoted to lying around with ice on it [when not stripping out the ’45 in anticipation of Wednesday’s long-anticipated bed removal/replacement], though there were also winter gardens.

Removal of said bed to be the subject of something subsequent, and soon.

    Wow! What an amazing variety! Meanwhile, we’ve had a very consistent and persistent experience while driving about 3,000 miles around the Pacific Northwest: overcast, light rain, some mist; all universally gray.
    Combined with many hours of merely sitting (in the car), our lives (lately) have been shockingly bland.
    Looking forward to seeing some blue skies today (and other colors) as we begin the journey south from Whidbey to Oregon. Sorry about the knee, hope it’s healing up OK.

      With the ice the knob on the knee shrunk fairly quickly…and, strangely, painlessly. curiously enough, our friends who left tht day were returning home to Whidbey Island, hey…

      Safe roads, K + B!

    I drove down to San Miguel last week and was also shocked by the intense greens! Loved the photo with the tree branches spread across the hood of the vehicle…I too am sorry about the ankle….

    looks shockingly bright to my eye- all grey and monochromatic here in the far north….glad to hear the knee did not have to be amputated…
