Spring Forbodings [Spring always brings me Forbodings]
…after all, Alien Creatures abound and one never knows what they’ll want.
Watercolors in the mornings, sagebush transplantings in the afternoons, trailer cleanups…
aerial surveillance; anything.
Wednesday this was all happily disrupted when Dave and Abby came over after lunch in his immaculate Legendary-in-Reno 1998 Dodge, only slightly modified and not shown, for a trip down the Smoke Creek Desert, up Smoke Creek Canyon past Brent’s sheeps
and west into California
where on the South Fork of Rush Creek we found some interesting
architectura povera.
Then a further peek into the Golden State and,
at somewhat greater speed,
back to the ranches
for two more days of more of the same.
The “dailies”…
the ongoing…
Finnegan, with his wake [actually the wake of an orange other fish, unseen].
Aggie, with her ears.
Gramma Seed, facing east.
Saturday morning, exacerbated by yet another night of Weird Dreams, it was Down the Desert
and over the hill; increasingly flat light,
and increasing traffic [not shown]. SO glad I won’t be making that trip through West Sacramento again for another six months!

Loving the dailies progress…
Rush Creek explorations (especially that black and white version of shack + tree exploding out of the roof) and the dailies (both watercolor and photo versions) continue to be excellent. Happy travels to Libre, when you go; I look forward to all the photos EAST of Sacramento traffic snarls :-). But you’re not heading to Colorado for a while, yes?
East to the West in four weeks; first to Wall Spring until the end of June…THEN Colorado…
those visitors “want” grubs as far as I can imagine
not only grubs, they want to eat your brain…trust me.
