Continuing the Great Wood Rat Extermination and counting,
Sunday into Monday we had our last visitors of the season, a full moon and weather holding clear, bright
and so dry the bootscrapers remained cobwebbed for the duration.

Monday the little Lumix I’ve had for over or almost two years misfortunately took a dive off the lunchtable and developed blotches on the sensors finally impossible to hide…
So I fired up the 2013 backup
just in time for a last trip north Tuesday.
Easy roads to Alturas…
and back over Cedar Pass into Surprise Valley
for a friendly visit with Lynn and Sophie in their little bit of paradise on the edge of Lake City
then south to mid-nineties on the Smoke Creek
with more heat forecast for the week, and our last days, ahead…

As per usual, really lovely. Wondering if the know you are coming and bring those cars out and park them for you to photograph……drove up from L.A. yesterday and unlike you did NOT take photos…regretfully as the dry grass was really shimmering. I particularly loved the cloud shadow images.
I imagine so…all the way down from Washington state, that one…
