Spring is a time of year I go into and through feeling unaccountably uneasy, waking with dread for no discernible reason other than those Nigerian inquiries through my website…none of which has anything to do with the pictures below although due to the computer’s crash we are spared the last days at Wall and last week’s trip over the hill;
Benicia, on the other hand, leaps into the new season with its customarily hopefully festive activities,
wind…
…and the interior life;
One evening I arrange for myself a vicarious trip from eastern Nevada to Tenth and Harrison in San Francisco, the western end of Highway 40 in 1950…which conjures up a nice panel truck from around 1942;
Other scenes seen downtown, and in our somewhat still chill garden [tamales imported from Antonito, Colorado, and kept frozen since Christmas], etc.
Hoping the chronological hiatus between the installation of the Models and the trip over the hill [including the airplane refueling on Sand Pass Road] will soon be retrieved for a future post…
Meanwhile…

Perhaps the crash was due to a birthday passing thru.
Happy Birthday Dear Michael . Enjoy your posts so much, Turkey, various trips, congratulations on being grandparents! But finally realized I could tell you.

Ah, thank you dear Sibyl…and Happy Easter, too.
the hula show is a must, and with the return of the thai cook it really shows you live in a very
international neighbor hoods
we certainly don’t have that around here
considering the baby blue colored van, a real prize, I have sent you an “unidentifiable” collectors item
that I hope you can identify, of course for you to keep
it’s dimension i found unique, it’s up to you if you want to undergo restoration
spring is a bit anguishing because we have to deal with so many weeds
at the moment I’m trying to finish to olive tree pruning

I love the missives — I don’t know why this one prompted me to tell you, since I read and enjoy them all. I think it was the photograph of the wind…

Enjoyed the somewhat wistful tone and the blue van…and red pick-up.
Yes- lovely colourful springing spritely forward, and into a new bday year which I uncharacteristically missed but figured you’d forget I forgot anyway….love you.
Hey Mike, Happy Birthday (which one?) I love your “unaccountably uneasy” shots, they really capture the feeling.
thanks, Steve; 73 [still lagging behind you!]
…more to come…
