Once more into the…Pueblo.

Again, yes…but first there were at least a couple of days’ assaults up the climbing wall

opposite the house,

some summer dinners, hazy smokes

and Friday, finally just getting the hang of Trax, took her back after lunch to – yes! – Pueblo

where Enterprise then deposited us in Blende where the Taco’s damages, albeit missing a [non-essential] front emblem and more importantly the passenger side headlight we’d hoped to have additionally replaced, were otherwise completely rectified; a quick turnaround by three had

us out of there, down the Interstate to Red Rock Road*, over to 69 and

past the Butte to

the Gardner post office which had not only our California mail but also my Ruscha catalog

from MOMA looking like someone had made a miscalculation with the forklift loading it. Being the weekend there was nothing to be done until Monday but the camera did its best

to put a happy face on Saturday’s smokes,

followed by a full moon. With the truck back

Sunday was the second day we drove to the well house and walked [a little] up Dry Creek, noting evidences of Bear, lots of greenery along the trail and new vistas for ecstatic dogs.

It stayed cooler, we ate in and then, as usual, the sun went down behind us

on another week away from the chaos of the world.  Mostly.

*So called because before it was paved the surface was red gravel sourced from a huge conical mine tailing where it intersected 69.
