Well, no day like a snow day even if it was the day I’d planned to begin deep packing…anyway not only did it snow from before dawn to beyond dark but with a high of 19 it was just too cold to be out there fussing in the truck, anyway…while tiny flakes fell steadily through the morning,
growing larger and puffier, to dogs’ delight,
in the afternoon wherein
we confined ourselves to a small walk over to the cabin to close the door
as “Crystal Vessel” was softly buried and
“Timbre” delineated.
It was a day of heaters and wood fires in the absence of sunlight
but by Monday morning melting
and afternoon…gone.
Tuesday I got up the creek as far as the ONAL RES DAP [[Nati]onal [Fo]res[t] [Boun]dar[y]] before closing up the Toolbox and packing more stuff destined for California while Linda
reviewed the layout for her Kaneko book…during which Bill and Mu paid us a welcome farewell visit, making for a late lunch. Later it was up to the studio, bringing things down, readying
to move on. Late light, most of the snow melted, but COLD as soon as soon as the sun was
gone, though in the morning it was back, slightly more warmer and
showing whiteness on the Sangres.
Another day of loading, skies
that make a person want to stay on,
always true.
Finally, though…
it’s over [the summer; after all, it’s already November].
Great shots of snow and skies and studio; have a safe drive west!
And what about the backhoe, that very useful tool?
Really nice skies
Not our backhoe and no need; sun and wind disappeared the snow by afternoon…
