We went

from Winter Wonderland…

to Utter Mudderland, though that took a few days…

and our time was running out.

As it ran out I discovered a few more 14″ paintings seemingly completed while

the snow and the low hung on but

a warming trend

diminished what had been a full bathtub and

allowed the new snow guards to demonstrate their worth before we go

[actual unretouched pictures of Rocky Mountain Sky]

as everything noticeably softened

…significantly.

We had an evening’s visit with faraway family the night before Hallowe’en, seriously.

Hallowe’en day we went to Gardner where my anticipated campstove, incompetently sent, was nowhere to be found so on to the high point of what was our last trip to town, the ever friendly

Walsenburg Transfer Station as both the Safeway and the Lumber were woefully ill-supplied

and outside the latter an impromptu Trumparade* went honking past, flags abundantly rampant, doubtless looking for Bidenists to run off the road if the latebreaking news was any indicant**.  We, however, made it home, filled water and lunched on the porch while the sun

transformed the landscape into Complete Mud…

So it goes, or went.

*I have since learned that these emanations of exuberant obnoxiousness are called “TrumpTrains”.  Yr either on the train…or off the bus.

**I LOVE TEXAS sez the prez, but I fail to sympathize with either one.

Beautiful weather is as polarized as our country; the snow and sky shots are pristine. Hoping the election brings a decisive calm and not a descent Into blood and mud. Stay safe, Bro!
