…has the right to “defend” itself – Kamala Harris [my quotes]
Israel…does not play well with others and has behaved extremely badly for over 100 years in Palestine, way before 1948 when the self-titled “Israelis” declared “independence” from, to all intents and purposes, all International Rules of Law and standards of morality. Aided and abetted by the assured destructiveness of an even larger genocidal rogue nation in thrall to AIPAC, a cult for whom it is utterly happy to bend over*, and with an unlimited supply of free weaponry at their disposal plus a leader motivated to take it to the next level [in preservation of his immunity from prosecution both at home and abroad] they are certainly poised to do so.
But enough about that; as soon as Fred was down the road [well the next day anyway] I was up to Pueblo for tires, better safe than sorry after one flat and a nail in another, and home
to a late lunch bringing more treasures sourced by old friend Stephen Hendrickson from
Pennsylvannia flea markets, the custom ‘41 Ford a particular favorite, followed by a few more
mornings up the creek until gravel arriving on the Roads of Libre necessitated
other wanderings, like down the meadow to visit
Linda’s 1988 sculptures “Daphne”
and “Casa Mesa”
as well as
various rocks in the woods into which the elk [not shown] had disappeared.
At the week’s end things became more difficult as the realizations that it was time to let Aggie go as well as that we ourselves were not exactly fit to dig her grave sank sadly in. Good
neighbor Leon came by to finish the hole between monitoring the continuing loads of gravel
and after Aggie took a last stumbling walk on Linda’s birthday Dr. Margaret arrived to lay her
down and as she left a gentle rain briefly fell from a cloudless sky…a peaceful transition and though all were devastated to see her gone Sumi was by far the most distressed.
Gone but not to be forgotten…
and by now hopefully reunited with her boys…
