Two days of Nothing…

After the two days of nothing

with digging ended Friday [first day of No Watercolors*]

it was back to cleaning as Linda worked with Sonny on preparations

for Omaha until we made

a run up 447 foraging for food for weekend’s guests, the week ahead,

and more…more being

Cedarville’s First Friday wherein we visited their Studio 540 for an opening of UNR graduate art students, partook of some assaultively salted pulled pork from a booth on the street and

subsequently fled south into a haze of gnats

so intense it became impossible to capture first Friday’s last light going home.

Saturday brought

disturbing news from Sonny and Seth from somewhere high above High Rock Canyon,

Scott and Erica in their compact campervan [not shown], the full first June moon

and also, having intercepted UPS on our way up 447, an iRobot Roomba vacuum, which

was introduced to Roomba Vacuum Hell** on Sunday.

Scott and Erica departed for Benicia Monday and we, readjusting to unaccustomed solitude,

did lots of laundry before the weather changed…

which it always does.

*Unfortunate in that visitors precluded the rare opportunity for their numbering to coincide with the date as after 06 01 on 06 01 06 02 didn’t then happen until 06 03…
