Saturday our lizards kept watch while across the world the missings continued manifesting<\/a><\/p>\n

as deaths and Sunday, along with topping off the water, the topic that took up a lot of time was that our turkey neighbors on Turkey Creek <\/a>are seeking permits for toxic waste processing, a 45,000 gallon water tank, helipad, employee housing, wellness building, agritourism “glamping” [between the anaerobic digester and the cat sanctuary???] and countless other things<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

all wildly unsuitable for their location. Throwing shit at the wall to confuse the planning commission, wasting everybody’s time while waiting to see what sticks.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Meanwhile out west we had Gerlach waking up to Burning Man 2026, our neighbor Dave’s*<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Speed of the Earth<\/a> on the powdery playa which soon became<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

days of dust [and later mud]<\/a> but here<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Monday was a trip to Gardner where medical massages were preceded by Suspicion<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

and followed by Linda’s former student, now tenured UNM professor Welly Fletcher , <\/a>who had great rapport with Sumi and Cosmos and with whom we shared two nonstop evenings and<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

a day of wide ranging conversations during which I toured the entropics<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

on my way to the Casa Mesa site<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

to meet up and Ponder [yet again] the Mystery.\u00a0 The talk went on – the demise of CCA, 40,000 year old sculptures, the perils of trying to reach closed-minded students, travels, travails<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

and joys – we even spent some time up in my studio, Welly perceptively looking, but mostly<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I listened, did as is my wont the dishes, and a good time was had by all…Thursday she returned<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

to Albuquerque and I made my way to La Clinica<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

for acupuncture, checked the mail [nothin’]<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

and went home to lunch and not much else…out on the east porch again for dinner was all,<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

notwithstanding more to come…<\/p>\n
