recession, more likely. Meanwhile Linda’s “Library of Ideas” was celebrated on the 22nd with a Sunday afternoon reception at the Benicia Library followed by, after the previous week’s

considerable preparations, the Fiesta del Giardino afterparty with food from Nani next door and a chance to, superficially at least, connect with many of L’s numerous former colleagues from the now eliminated “moribund campus”** of CCA as well as many seldom seen old friends.

It went wonderfully and as the evening wound down we were fortunate to have Greg Flood

around to help clean up as his expertise regarding art afterparties [and much else] is incomparable, rendering Monday just Monday…and a rare day of Not Going Anywhere

except of course the small ride down to the water and back.

Tuesday there were two trips [not shown] to Big O to attempt to address Mini issues ignored by BMW of Concord in accord with dealerships’ inherent practices wherein once one’s car

is of a certain age they routinely neglect obvious and even [at least in my experience with Toyota some years back] potentially life-threatening repairs and picking up***dropped

the Tundra for service. Wednesday I went back to collect that one and ran up to Raley’s in Southampton, which handily demolished the morning…

Still and all way less distractions than the week previous, less hot, beautiful springtime weather

to counterbalance the rantings of our puppet president**** and his merry band

of incompetent sycophants, a week with a surprise

Tunkhannock treasure from Stephen,

pizza and protests as the 28th being No Kings Day Linda took her Sign to the park while, unconcerned, our climbing roses bloomed and the light – the light! – advanced through

the house, irrespective of what any Dick-traitors or their enablers have in mind for the planet.

A week after the party young Bryan [not shown] returned for lunch to help load, lubricate the

rollup door and move the last of the big tables back into place before we all dispersed on a variety of missions, his mostly Army related, L. belatedly to Lincoln and I on my usual monthly

[although in this instance it’s only been two weeks] migration, though not before L. and I went to dinner on Aroma’s back patio, passing by a most cherry and rare DS on the way.

end of day, end of a nice enuf week, an so on[wards]…

*”Idiot Wind”, Bob Dylan, 1974. A song that just keeps resonating with me down the halls of these troubled days.

**The San Francisco Chronicle’s gratuitously insulting and inaccurate characterization of the campus of a hundred year old school coldly sold off as if it were a poorly performing real estate investment.

***Big O didn’t fix the problem, either.

****Day to day you can only guess who holds the strings and jerks his chains; MBS; Bibi, Vladi? …with some big prizes tossed to the Iranians and REALLY big prizes to the Russians to help finance their wars against us. USA! USA! Not a good look. Why the congress continues to be blind to this in obeisance to the most ridiculous mob boss in history is, well…pathetic. Dicktraitors all.

life went on, “down the highway, down the tracks, down the road to ecstasy”*…or global recession, more likely. Meanwhile Linda’s “Library of Ideas” was celebrated on the 22nd with a Sunday afternoon reception at the Benicia Library followed by, after the previous week’s considerable preparations, the Fiesta del Giardino afterparty with food from Nani next […]

[1

post-45657","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
